A Haven of Tranquility
L es Bouleaux (pron. Lay Boolow) is situated on the edge of Villetoureix village. The house is spacious throughout with 2 bedrooms on the ground floor and 2 bedrooms in the tower extension upstairs.
The garden is very private with a substantial laurel hedge surrounding the outside space. The swimming pool (10mtrs X 5mtrs) is for your exclusive use and is 1.2mtrs deep throughout, no deep end. Garden gates either side of the property help keep the young children safely in view.
Everything is provided for your enjoyment and convenience, including broadband internet, a widescreen TV home entertainment system and lots of play equipment. The young ones should never be telling their parents “I’m bored!”
The idea is that parents can have a holiday too!

A Labour of Love
We completed the construction of our ‘dream’ house in the Dordogne in the summer of 1999, after 4 years of endeavour. We designed the property ourselves and were personally involved in all stages of the building work.
Holiday in Space
The first thing noted by visitors is a feeling of spaciousness from the long and wide entrance hall to the main upstairs bedroom with ensuite shower room and separate sitting/dressing room. And, plenty of car parking. We believe that Les Bouleaux provides everything that visitors need to just settle in and enjoy their holiday even when the weather is not at its best. Far From the Madding Crowd
The balcony has proved to be a haven for ‘rest and recuperation’, with views over the surrounding countryside, and perhaps a good book (from our own well stocked library) a glass of wine and the strong possibility of an afternoon doze!
Sounds Great – Looks Great
If at any time you would like to leave the great outdoors for the great indoors perhaps to relax in the spacious lounge, there is a 46″ television with a Humax freeview (UK) TV receiver, Bluray DVD player with 100+ films to choose from, and a CD deck. Feel free to bring your own games console which can be hooked up to the TV.

Your Half-Acre of Paradise
Les Bouleaux is our half-acre of France, situated in an elevated position on the edge of the village of Villetoureix, with views across open countryside and the Dronne river valley.
Being inland, there is rarely much wind. On clear summer nights, turn off the house lights and gaze at an incredible display of stars.
The Milky Way is obvious and shooting stars (the persids) are active in August.

Touring
Dordogne is an administrative department in the Aquitaine region of south-west France. The French refer to the area as Périgord in much the same way that the British describe parts of Gloucestershire and Oxfordshire as the Cotswolds.
Les Bouleaux is situated towards the northern boundary of the Dordogne and is central for exploring a wide variety of attractions that many describe as the most interesting in France. You could head north, south, east or west and within 2 hours find plenty to see and in most instances something for the children as well.
Sport
The Dordogne is not famous for its sporting facilities, although tennis and horse riding are well catered for along with plenty of swimming and watersport locations. Canoeing is easily available on all the rivers and lakes.
Fishing is popular with details and licences available from Riberac town centre. I can vouch for some excellent golf courses from 30 minutes to 2 hours distant.

All dates are Saturday (4.00pm) to Saturday (10.00am), 7 nights in total, for the rental of the property only. A maximum of 8 persons* are allowed to reside on the property.

All dates are Saturday (4.00pm) to Saturday (10.00am), 7 nights in total, for the rental of the property only. A maximum of 8 persons* are allowed to reside on the property. All utilities, bedlinen and a supply of towels are included. Towels are also provided (1 bath towel and 1 beach towel per person including children and babies.) Plus 4 hand towels and 1 tea towel. Heating is not included in the price for your rental, but can be provided at cost, if required.

You can make payment to us by: Cheque to our Salisbury address; May take a few days to clear before we send your receipt. BACs transfer; Usually arrives instantly, so we can send your receipt and confirmation straight away. Paypal: Secure, and usually quick, however we make a charge of 3.4% to cover the payment we make to Paypal. *There is plenty of room to accommodate babies in the bedrooms in their own travel cots and there is a drop sided cot for up to 2/3 year olds in the upstairs double bedroom - plus a high chair for feeding time. We are happy to accept babies in addition to the 8 persons maximum. A stair gate is also provided.
